Offensichtlich zu allem entschlossen

MediaWatch hegt ähnliche Befürchtungen.

Denn wer sich umhört, merkt schnell, dass viele relevante Akteure offensichtlich zu allem entschlossen sind. So heißt es etwa in Foreign Affairs (und die sind eigentlich nicht die Bild-Zeitung):

(...) the United States and its allies should take a proactive stance that seeks to change Russia’s calculus before Moscow acts aggressively. Under such a strategy, the United States and its allies would determine in advance and then clearly articulate when they will counter Russia’s moves,(...)

Und ganz konkret auf die Ukraine gemünzt:

The Kremlin respects only strength and sees opportunity in the weakness and inattention of others, so the United States and NATO must stand firm, especially with respect to Russia’s nefarious and coercive attempts to prevent countries on its periphery from choosing to align with the EU and NATO.

Der oben wiedergegebene Snapshot des Beitrags kann da durchaus als programmatisch gelten. Aufrüsten und eskalieren lautet die Devise - wobei die USA führen müssen.
